We know it’s been a bit quiet on here for a while so firstly, Happy New Year from all of us at Verulam Autos! The main reason we’ve been lacking on the blog front is that we’ve been doing what we do best – keeping the motorists of St Albans on the road! It’s been a bit trickier to write about winter motoring too – mainly because that winter has yet to arrive. Instead we seem to be watching more and more water charge down Holywell Hill and the potholes continue to grow. (Here’s how to report a pothole just in case you need to)
We’ve had a browse of the motoring news that has come out over the New Year break and found the cars that are due to be launched in the UK this year. There seems to be something for absolutely everybody and the team at Carbuyer have come up with this list – there are some absolutely beautiful motors on there and then there’s the new Range Rover Evoque convertible – the orange version is definitely making us raise an eyebrow!
There’s also plenty in the news about the flooding that the north of England has experienced over the last few weeks – and amongst the stories of wonderful community spirit are dotted examples of people believing that their cars can cope with driving through flood water of any depth. We can only reiterate the advice of the Police and Highways Agency, if a road says it’s closed due to flooding, it’s closed. If you’re unsure, it’s probably better not to try and if you do go through standing water in your car, always check your brakes afterwards.
