Albert Street is a one-way street and parking is at a premium. Please talk to us when visiting to ensure that you can park safely.
Monday to Friday: 8.15am to 5pm
Please contact us to book your vehicle in with us and to discuss parking.
Very occasionally we will all be away from the garage, for example taking cars for an MOT or moving a vehicle to a parking space. There will always be a note with a contact telephone number on the shutter door so you can contact us.
We appreciate that the traffic in St Albans can be unpredictable and suffers knock-on effects from issues on the M1 and M25. If you are booked in with us at a particular time or are coming to pick up your car and are delayed, please phone us on 01727 856543 so that we know and can wait if possible.
If you are driving up Holywell Hill, the turning for Albert Street is just before Café Rouge. If you miss the turning, continue to the traffic lights at the crossroads and turn right. At the next set of traffic lights turn right again, then at the mini-roundabout turn right. Follow this road straight on (Sopwell Lane) until you reach Holywell Hill again. Turn right and then immediately right into Albert Street.
If you are driving down Holywell Hill, Albert Street is the turning immediately after Café Rouge. Having passed The Peahen PH on your left, proceed down the hill, past the Comfort Inn Hotel and observe the pelican crossing. The turning is on the left almost immediately after the crossing and Café Rouge.
If you miss the turning, continue down the hill and take the next available left into Belmont Hill (first left is no-entry). At the end of Belmont Hill, turn left up Thorpe Road and take the second left into Sopwell Lane. At the end of Sopwell Lane turn right back onto Holywell Hill and then immediately right into Albert Street.
Once you have reached Albert Street, you can find Verulam Autos approximately 100 yards along on the right.
Holywell Hill is an extremely busy road at all times, as are the surrounding side roads. If you are travelling during peak hours, we’d recommend leaving a little extra time for your journey!
